Ingredients

1/2
cup light corn syrup or Honey
1/4
cup sugar
1/2
cup creamy peanut butter
6
cups Corn Chex® or Rice Chex® cereal
1/2
cup salted peanuts, if desired

  • 1 Butter 9- or 8-inch square pan.
  • 2 In 3-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup and sugar just to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • 3 Stir in peanut butter. Gently stir in cereal and peanuts until evenly coated. Press firmly in pan. Let stand 1 hour. For squares, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows. Store loosely covered.

I made these this weekend and would have never thought something SO simple could be SO yummy!!! I didn't add the extra peanuts and only had Hershey's syrup on hand to drizzle on top. Also, I was a little shy a full cup of corn syrup, so I topped it off with the honey. Again, YUMMY!!

Yum!!!!! They were fabulous, fast, easy and oh so good! I lined the whole pan with foil then sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Also to make it easier to pack down the cereral in the pan I covered it with plastic wrap and used a big pot to press down evenly and efficiantly. Then when they were firm I cut them into bars then took the whole foil out of the pan and the foil came right down so there was no fussing to get the bars out of the pan! Everyone in My hous loves these!
