package Betty Crocker® Hamburger Helper® beef pasta

tablespoons packed brown sugar

cup ketchup

cups Original Bisquick® mix

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef, onion, bell pepper and seasoned salt over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.
  • 2 Stir hot water, 3/4 cup of the milk and the Sauce Mix into beef mixture. Stir in brown sugar and ketchup. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Spoon beef mixture into ungreased rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches; stir in uncooked pasta. Set aside.
  • 3 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, remaining 1 cup of the milk and the eggs until blended. Pour evenly over beef mixture.
  • 4 Bake cobbler 30 to 35 minutes or until light golden.

Expert Tips

Liven up the top of this main-dish cobbler with a sprinkling of chopped fresh parsley.

It was ok. Not an exciting recipe. If you want to be creative with the hamburger helper it would be ok with that. I work at a grocery store the ketchup and brown sugar is a differnt sauce than bbq sauce we usually put it on our meatloaf for a sweet and tangy sauce.

All other reviews mention BBQ sauce. I don't see BBQ sauce in the recipe, only brown sugar and ketchup. Am I missing something? Just curious;)
