I MADE THESE BARS AND THEY ARE WONDERFUL. I ADDED SOME RAISINS, CINNAMON CHIPS AND PUMPKIN PIE SPICE. THEY ARE SO YUMMY ;)

After reading the reviews, I decided just to make the regular cookie recipe and chilled it, then pressed it in an 8x8 pan. I baked it at 350 for 25 minutes and topped it with a cinnamon glaze. Seemed to work out pretty well.

I added about 1/3 cup solid canned pumpkin & pumpkin pie spice to this mix. I also added about 1/3 cup of sugar cookie mix to get batter to consistency to make whoppie pies. Filled with cream cheese frosting, Yummy! Wish I could find this cookie mix all year long.

I too made the pumpkin bars and was really disappointed! They were extremely dry even with a scoop of our favorite vanilla ice cream on top, and we we tossed more than 3/4 of the pan!

This recipe is good for a pumpkin spice cake but it does not come out like bars. It turns out just like a cake. Also don't cook it for as long as it says.
