Wow! I can't believe the reaction I got from making this cake. I made it for someone's birthday(by request of their wife). I decided on this recipe because of the great reviews, & boy, was it worth it! Since I was making it for a birthday, I made it a bit more special by adding diced fresh strawberries to in-between the layers, & top of the cake, & coconut to the top & sides of the cake. Everyone especially liked that touch! And my friend's husband? "Wow, this is awesome. It's so moist," "seriously, this is the best lemon cake I have ever tasted!" And when someone else came for a piece, he said, "try it now. I want to see your reaction when you taste it." So, I will absolutely be making this cake again. Thanks for such a great recipe, & for helping me to make a friend's birthday a bit more special!

So easy, so yummy, so flavorful! Love the poke part --it makes for a really moist cake.

THE BEST LEMON CAKE EVER! Wishing for a richer lemony taste, I added about 2 tablespoons lemon juice in the water prior pouring in the cake mixture. I used a bundt pan. I used long toothpick to poke holes all over the cake then poured sweetened lemon glaze all over. My mom and I ate HALF of the bundt cake that night and the rest of half the next day. Gonna make it again and again!

I had several people try this when I made it and all loved it! I made two seperate cakes instead of the layers and did not use all of the icing. I also used fresh strawberries on top instead of the candy! Super yummy!
