When I mixed all of the ingredients together I thought that I had done something wrong. It looked like too much liquid, it filled up the 9' pie pan to the top almost ran over. It turned out fine, but is very eggy tasting and is more like a "custard" pie. My husband said it taste like his mothers rice pudding with coconut. I will probably not make again, not sweet enough for me.

This pie was so easy to make and it tasted scrumptious. It has a texture like a custard pie, and then you have the wonderful chewy cocnut. My family says it is the best pie I have ever made.

I have been making this pie for YEARS and have never been disappointed. I have even poured the prepared pie ingredients into a refrigerated pie shell so when I take it to a family dinner or a covered dish luncheon, everyone thinks I was up all night baking. I'm not one to correct them,either.
