Peel open a new version of homemade banana pie. Warm caramel topping adds a special touch.

This is an easy and delicious recipe. I have made it quite a few times of the years and it is always well received. Other comments mention the lack of custard and they should remember, this is a quick, easy recipe. If you want a quick, easy, tastey, banana flavored dessert try this one. Make sure you serve it cool and top with whipped topping, caramel and nuts. I get rave reviews for this one!

Made this last night for breakfast meeting, very good. A little sweeter than I like, but went fast.

We ate this pie just a little warm and what a treat. I don't like bananas, but I made the pie for a friend who cooks often. She even asked for the recipe. Good job!

This was really good! I used coconut milk instead of sweetened condensed milk because it was what I had on hand. I also added about 2 Tbsp cream of coconut. Had to bake for 15 minutes longer.

It had a very good taste, but I was disappointed, because I expected a custard filling and it was more of a dense cake. I would like to try it again but only if I can get a custard filling. Any Ideas????

A delicious twist is to add 1/4 cup peanut butter to the custard portion of the recepite. I mix it with the sweeten condensed milk then all of the other ingeridents.

Ummm.... no.... I have done the easy custard blender pie, which is a DREAM. I was weary when this one only called for two eggs while the blender pie calls for 3-4 and a decent amount of milk. And even thought the texture of the batter was a little thick, I thought it would be fine. Ummmmm....no. It's more like a cake or a bread pudding. And since my bananas were extra ripe, the whole "pie" is very sweet. Next time I will add an egg, no sugar and thin it out with a little milk so it's more "custardy."
