Honey Nut-Marshmallow Bars

Marshmallows, butter and organic honey nut cereal make an easy microwave treat. No baking is needed.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (10.5 oz) miniature marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 cups Cascadian Farm® organic honey nut O's cereal

Steps

    Butter bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan.

    In large microwavable bowl, microwave marshmallows and butter uncovered on High about 2 minutes, stirring after every minute, until smooth.

    Immediately stir in cereal until evenly coated. Press in pan. Cool about 30 minutes or until firm. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store loosely covered.

  • tip 1
    You can make the marshmallow mixture on the stovetop. In 3-quart saucepan, melt marshmallows and butter over low heat, stirring until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.

    If you like, stir in 1 cup chopped peanuts with the cereal.
