Ingredients

1
cup cornstarch
1/2
cup cold water
2
tablespoons dish soap
1/2
cup hot water
Red, yellow, green and blue food color

Directions

  • 1 In medium bowl, stir together cornstarch, cold water and dish soap. Add hot water; beat with electric mixer on medium speed until mixture is creamy.
  • 2 Divide mixture among 4 small plastic containers. Drop several drops of red food color into 1 container; stir until well mixed. Repeat with remaining food colors and containers. Store covered at room temperature. Use for finger painting on paper or canvas.

Expert Tips

Color it cute! Use neon food color for extra-vibrant finger paints.

Paintbrushes optional! Though this paint is safe for little fingers, feel free to invite your kiddos to use paintbrushes for added technique.
