Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Generously spray 12-cup Bavarian-style bundt cake pan with cooking spray. Cook beef in 10-inch skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in sloppy joe sauce.
  • 2 Stir Bisquick mix, milk, butter and eggs until blended. Spoon about two-thirds of the Bisquick mixture onto bottom and half way up side of pan. Spoon beef mixture over Bisquick mixture. Drop remaining Bisquick mixture by spoonfuls to cover beef.
  • 3 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Turn pan upside down onto heatproof plate; remove pan.

Note: The bundt pan used in this recipe, as well as other houseware items, is available in the Betty Crocker® Catalog. Click the link "Catalog Shopping" on the top of this page to shop Betty Crocker online, then search for: Bavarian bundt.

EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Offer condiments! Supply bowls of chopped onion, pickles, relishes, shredded cheese or shredded lettuce to top off servings of sloppy joes.

Like a little spice? Use bulk hot Italian sausage, cooked and well drained, for the ground beef.

this recipe was fun and easy to make but the biscuit area needs more seasoning! It was very dry and bland. I added cheese and Mrs. Dash to leftovers and it was better. Definitly season the bisquick batter before baking!

Not the greatest. Couldn't get it to seal and it was too dry. Not enough sloppy joe and to much biscuit. I think I would try a slightly different variation next time by using a casserole, putting in the sloppy joe and covering with half as much Bisquick. The taste would have been great if it hadn't dried out.

I really liked it. Was really cool looking, looks like you are serving a cake. Maybe a little dry, I used the heart smart bisquick mix, not sure if that made a difference. But it turned out just like the picture. Very easy, tasty, and pretty. Would make again.
