cup sour cream

tablespoons packed brown sugar

package (10 3/4 ounces) frozen pound cake
1/4
cup rum
1/4
cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2
cup sliced almonds
  • 1 Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Mix sour cream and brown sugar; set aside.
  • 2 Cut frozen pound cake into 8 slices. On each side, sprinkle with rum, spread with butter and press almonds onto butter. Place cake slices on grilling screen.
  • 3 Grill cake uncovered 4 to 6 inches from medium heat about 5 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. To serve, top cake with sour cream mixture.

Everyone thought this recipe was very YUMMY! I served it with grilled peaches and plums. I also mashed up some strawberry's

This recipe was really easy. We recommend cutting back on the rum. We like rum and that is one of the reasons why we tried it. We got both sides and there was still some left. I served this at a coffee and it was a great hit. I would recommend this recipe.
