Make a one-pot spicy sausage and bean dinner that's ready in 30 minutes.
lb bulk chorizo sausage
medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained, rinsed
can (15 oz) Progresso™ black beans, drained, rinsed
can (8 oz) tomato sauce
cup Old El Paso™ taco sauce
teaspoon chili powder
In 3-quart saucepan, cook sausage over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink; drain. Add onion; cook and stir 2 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; partially cover. Simmer 15 minutes to blend flavors.
Tailor this easy dinner to what's in your cupboard and fridge. Substitute any drained bean. Use any on-hand ground sausage like mild or hot Italian. Use your favorite salsa that's as hot as you like.
