cups Original Bisquick® mix

cup mashed very ripe banana (2 medium)
1
cup milk
1/4
cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans

tablespoons vegetable oil

egg
  • 1 Heat waffle iron; grease with vegetable oil or shortening.
  • 2 Stir ingredients until blended. Pour onto center of hot waffle iron. Close lid of waffle iron.
  • 3 Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle.

For a quick dessert, top these banana waffles with hot caramel sauce and a dollop of whipped cream!

Waffles can be frozen and thawed for later use. Just pop them in the toaster for a quick morning bite.

To mash bananas quickly, place bananas and milk in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

These were good, but I didn't notice the banana-nut taste. In fact, I made plain waffles at the same time (in case the banana-nut didn't turn out) and the difference was so slight that I don't think this recipe is worth saving.

I made these pancakes for breakfast Saturday. I changed the recipe so I could make pancakes. I omitted the oil. With no sugar added I was able to serve it to a diabetic (3 cakes). Good flavor because of the ripe bannas & ground pecans. Everyone loved them so much we had them again on Sunday!
