I read all 53 reviews hoping to find that others had the same problem I did but no luck. I followed the directions exactly, even used a timer, and there was a LOT of water that had not been absorbed laying in the bottom of the pan. My son also made one of the whole wheat pasta dinners for his family and had the same problem. I wouldn't complain about a little water, this was quite a bit. Something needs to be adjusted in the recipe - time? temperature?

I didn't follow the directions and stirred the glaze well into the mixture and didn't get the lemony, sugary taste other reviewers commented about. I also added more peas and carrots. However, my husband thought it was quite bland.

I made this last night and it was delicious! Make sure you sprinkle the glaze over the top evenly or some of the chicken will be bland tasting; the glaze wants to all come out of the package at once! For you Weight Watcher types...it is 7 points per cup serving! That's not bad for pasta and chicken. Try it!

My boyfriend doesn't have much love for chicken and often times I just avoid even buying it because he is happier with other foods. Surprisingly though he saw this and picked it up at the store. The first time I fixed it I picked out all the dried peas and carrots hoping it would help him like it more because he HATES most vegetables. However, the second time I fixed it as is and he had the same reaction. He loved it. Now he actually gets cravings for it which makes me happy because chicken is much healthier than his typical choices of meat! I am very pleased and for a picky eater, this is a good start!

found this product to be overly sweet, and not enough lemon taste.

A coworker told me about this chicken helper. He said he loved it. I've only used Hamburger Helper before. He raved over this so much; he brought a box of it to work and gave it to me to try. I don't care for chicken breast, so I bought boneless chicken thigh meat and started sautéing it up as instructed on the box. The only thing I did was add about a teaspoon of good olive oil to the butter so I could get it nice and hot to brown the chicken nice. That worked great. Then when it was all nice and brown I opened up the noodles to add them, and I was mortified at the fact that they were whole wheat. I've tried whole wheat noodles in Italian recipes, and it tastes horrible. So I thought, this is going to be gross. But I followed everything as it said on the box, and added the glaze at the end. I am an awesome cook, and do a lot of gourmet cooking when I can afford it. But I have to say, this turned out great! It was the best Helper product I've ever used. And I loved the noodles. I am going to load my cupboard with more boxes of this, as it’s really, really good.

Made this one with 2 cans tuna and a lot of frozen peas and carrots (didnt measure). I also skipped the butter and glaze and didnt replace them with anything - just added a couple random things off my spice rack. Since everything was cooked in water, the noodles are whole grain, and the chicken/glaze/butter were gone, this probably ended up being pretty darn healthy for a "helper" meal. And you know what? Easily the worst dish my wife has made for me in the past year. She agreed. An unconventional taste I was unable to get used to no matter how hard I tried.

My family usually loves the "helper" meals. We thought we would try this one, and was not at all impressed. Ended up throwing it out. The glaze was horrible, but the meal altogether was not good. We will stick to hamburger helper and tuna helper!
