Straightforward and easy to bake but it definitely wasn't sweet enough. If I could do it over, I would add maybe 1/2 a cup of sugar. The icing made it sweet. overall this is a B grade mix. Okay, but not great for sure.

I am gf and loved the cake mixes. I have now dairy free as well. Can I substitute an oil for the butter?

Does anyone know what to add to the gluten free mix to make a dreamsicle cake. If I add orange juice does that replace all the liquid?

Can the devil's food cake mix be used in a 10 x 15 jelly roll pan without any alterations in ingredient amounts to make an ice cream cake roll?

Betty Crocker cake mixes are the best! Such a time saver! Have used them since available in our stores. I am gluten sensitive and allergic to casein, so I use almond milk and Earth balance. Would like to see more recipes using substitutes for the various milk products. Thanks, suenatekirsten, for your tip using Marshmallow crème, powdered sugar, & almond milk for the icing. Also I will try using the Cherry coke.

I am a cake decorator and baker, specializing in vegan and gluten free baking. When I saw this box mix I had to try it with vegan ingredients to see how it would turn out. The cupcakes were fantastic. Swap out the butter with Earth Balance, replace the eggs with 1/2 cup of applesauce and you have some might fine vegan gluten free cupcakes without the trouble of premixing your own GF flours. Will definitely use this in the future. Top with vegan chocolate buttercream icing or plain vegan buttercream icing

I am a professional cake decorator and due to an order for gluten free chocolate cupcakes, I tried your gluten free cake mix and along with another post that added dream whip to the mix,4 eggs and 1 cup of water, I added special dark cocoa powder and was soo presently surprised to find, moist, very dark, and utterly delicious cupcakes...that I could make for ANYONE!..Great job Betty Crocker for discovering this amazing solution to what could have been a PCD's worst nightmare!

I used this mix for my daughters birthday cupcakes and due to her other allergies easily substituted the butter with a vegan stick butter for dairy free and used egg replacer for the eggs and it came out amazing. I loved that I could by a quality gluten free cake mix and with other adjustments for her was able to make cupcakes that everyone thought tasted amazing! Thank you for a great product!

I have always been a 'make it from scratch' person. When I was diagnosed with celiac disease that put an end to my baking. Until I discovered Betty Crocker gluten free cake mixes. They are delicious. Better than any gluten free products I have tried. I used the yellow cake to make my mother's coconut cake for Easter and the family loved it. Thank you, Betty Crocker!
