Restaurant style cornbread that is sweet, savory and so easy to make!

A warm piece of cornbread slathered with butter with a drizzle of honey is the perfect compliment to a piping hot bowl of chili, stew or even a hearty salad. To get that sweet and savory taste in every bite how about adding some cake mix! That is right, I said cake mix.

Mixing cake mix batter with your cornbread batter gives it a perfect moist consistency and just the sweetness needed for a stellar piece of cornbread.

This recipe couldn’t be easier with help from Betty Crocker. Using two Betty Crocker Cornbread pouch mixes and one box of SuperMoist yellow cake mix, you can make enough cornbread to feed your family, and then some! Just mix the batters separately, as called for on the package, and then beat together. Pour into two large jelly roll pans and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

This cornbread was a hit with my family who kept coming back for more! Another great use for Betty Crocker cake mix!
