can I use Bisquick in place of flour

Asked on 12/14/2014 12:00:00 AM by Bread-lover

Thank you for reaching out to Ask Betty!  Bisquick is a baking mix that contains ingredients such as fat, leavenings, etc.  If you are using a scratch recipe that calls for flour, you would need to add these other types of ingredients in the amount specified in order for the recipe to perform.  However, we have a wide variety of recipes on our website that call for Bisquick, instead of flour.  You may be able to find the exact recipe you are looking for right on our site!
