I took my recipe for truffles and added 1-1/2 teaspoons chipotle powder, which adds a subtle heat. For a grown-up version, I also stirred in 1 tablespoon of tequila.
After forming the mixture into balls, refrigerate until firm. You could roll them in cocoa and serve them up at this point. But I wanted to make a real chocolate lover’s dream!
Insert a lollipop stick into each ball. Melt milk chocolate in the microwave. Swirl the lollipop in the chocolate and place on a sheet of parchment paper.
As the finishing touch, sprinkle with sea salt for a grown-up sweet treat!
