Judges will disqualify previously published recipes, such as but not limited to those in major cookbooks, in magazines, from food companies, on major food or recipe websites and winners in national contests, unless the recipe features changes considered significant by the judges. Final judging will be done by a panel of food experts. The Judges will select fifteen (15) Finalist recipes (the "Finalist(s)"). Finalists will be required to certify, on information or belief, that their recipes are their own creation and have not been published or publicized and have not won a national contest. Decision of the judges is final in all matters relating to this Contest.
Consumers will be invited to go online to www.BettyCrocker.com/MixItUpWithBetty during September and October 2010 to view the fifteen (15) Finalist recipes and to vote for the recipe they feel best meets contest judging criteria of Taste, Creativity, Ease of Preparation and Appearance. The second round of voting will take place in late October to identify the recipe receiving the most consumer votes among the top five Finalist recipes, which will be awarded the Grand Prize. The remaining four Finalist recipes in the second round of voting will each be awarded a Runner-Up prize.
