Using cookie mix and fresh pears, you can make a simply delicious dessert!
I love fresh pears. The crisp sweetness makes it one of my favorite fruits. It doesn't overpower but it does make it presence known! I also love the spicy and sweet flavor of an oatmeal cookie. So using 2 pouches of Betty Crocker® oatmeal cookie mix as a shortcut, I created these Oatmeal Cookie Pear Bars...and the results are delicious!

In medium bowl, stir together crust ingredients (what is called for on the pouch) until dough forms. Don't tell anyone but at the end I used my hands...it went much quicker.

Press the dough into the bottom of a greased pan.

Bake the crust for 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven. While that bakes, it is time to make our gooey caramel sauce. In a small saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar until combined. Add milk; heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Yummy.

Next, slice your pears and lay on top of your baked crust.

Then drizzle the sauce on top.

Now for the topping, you just need to grab another pouch of oatmeal cookie mix and combine with a stick of butter. Sprinkle the topping on top.

Bake 20 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Cool in pan on cooling rack at least 15 minutes. Cut and enjoy! They are really simple and simply delicious.
