Nothing is more delicious than a warm, chewy chocolate chip cookie. Using whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose makes this a contender for the best-tasting cookie ever!

Christ are you kidding me?? This recipe has about twice as much sugar as it needs. Betty Crocker needs to go.

I had not planned on making whole wheat cookies today, but when I realized that was the only flour I had, I quickly Googled recipe ideas, and came across this one. I am so glad I did! I do a lot of baking, and these are probably the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. They were soft in the center,a little crispy on the edges... DELICIOUS! No way can you tell they're made of whole wheat flour. This has become my new go-to recipe! (The only thing I changed was that I added butterscotch chips in addition to the chocolate chips, just because I like the flavor combination :)

Amazing! I won't make chocolate chip cookies with white flour again. I prefer my chocolate chip cookies to me more chewy than fluffy and that is how these turn out. I bake mine for 8 or 9 minutes. 10 made them almost burnt.

These were amazing! I left 1 dozen in a little too long, because i made them smaller( I'm new to this cookie thing). But the ones I did right tasted amazing! I couldn't even tell that they were whole wheat! I will never make cookies with white flour again. Thank you Betty!

Just had one hot out of the oven. Tastes great! I cut out half the chocolate chips - just my taste. Enjoy!

Ok..all the bad reviews on this recipe have to be allotted to either not following the directions to a T or they are not accustomed to whole grain healthy eating. My palate and that of my family is used to whole foods and grains so I am not sure if that is a difference needed to be taken into consideration or not..BUT these cookies are fantastic!!! I added like 1 tsp of canola oil to it and half a bag of choc chips and they are moist and chewy. Definitely worth the time to bake. Also here is a FYI for you: if you want to keep cookies moist for storage, put them in a container with a couple slices of bread! Moist the next day and the next day....

Flattest cookies ever. I am going to experiment adding more flour to this recipe. I have tried it twice now and both times the cookies spread into flat puddles on the cookie sheet. I am using a high quality Vollrath cookie sheet (room temp)and they still turn out terrible.

Im a 16 that's hard to please but trys to watch what they eat. I enjoyed these cookies but i also made some variations to the recipe. I put a stick of butter and a 1/2 cup of oil in it instead of 2 cups of butter and i also put truvia instead of sugar. This is a healthier sugar that comes from a plant so its not aritfical like splenda. Overall good recipe.
