This is my favorite cake. My mom made it for us often. I make it bigger by doubling the recipe and using a 9x13 pan. My family goes nuts for it. When I make a cake for my sisters, they all say velvet crumb cake!

This was one of my childhood favorites. My mother would double the recipe, and make it in a big pan. If we were lucky, there would be some the next day. This is so delicious. I remember dunking it into coffee during my teen years, thinking that life couldn't get better. I am buying the ingredients to make this SOON...the flavors keep running through my senses, making me so hungry for it!
