box (1 lb 2.3 oz) Betty Crocker® fudge brownie mix
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
Filling
1/2
cup butter, softened
1/2
cup creamy peanut butter
2
cups powdered sugar
2
teaspoons milk
Topping
1
cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
1/4
cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. Make brownie batter, using water, oil and eggs, and bake as directed on box. Cool completely.
  • 2 In medium bowl, beat filling ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Spread filling evenly over brownie base.
  • 3 In small microwavable bowl, place topping ingredients. Microwave uncovered on High 30 to 60 seconds; stir until smooth. Cool 10 minutes; spread over filling. Refrigerate about 30 minutes or until set. Cut into 9 rows by 4 rows. Store covered in refrigerator.

This is an awesome recipe! Bet you can't eat just one! But the recipe instructions are right, cut them in 4 rows by 9 rows - or smaller! They are so rich!

I used dark chocolate brownies. I have made them twice, once for christmas, and once for a pot luck. The pan was empty in no time at each event. This one of my favorite desserts. I have had several request to make them for Super Bowl Sunday. This is definitly one of my family's favorite.

Very rich if you let it soften to room temp prior to serving...excellent if you keep it in the fridge and serve cold. It turned out fantastic...a huge hit at the dinner party I brought them to. Will definitely make again. Absolutely wonderful.
