what a great, versatile pancake recipe! next time i'll add something to the batter like chocolate chips, blueberries, cranberries, etc to make it even tastier. instead of using syrup i spread some strawberry jam on top. delish!

The name says it all totally amazing. For the most part I don't really care for pancakes, But these are very good. I think I will use a little less sugar maybe about half. A must make recipe

I love these pancakes!! If I can find it I use Watkins Danish Pastry Extract instead of the vanilla. And my girls love it when I make triangle pancakes. I use my sandwhich maker, put 1/4 cup batter into each triangle and then cook for three minutes. Then we do triangle eggs too. :o)

to make even better pancakes add 1/2 tsp baking powder. these will fluff up and melt in your mouth everytime. i have done this for years and my kids love them. i tried it out on my sons 3rd grade class this year and they all loved it. even had a few kids say i make better pancakes then there moms and dads. that is the best comment i have ever been givn in all my years of cooking.

My kids love these! I add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the batter. My oldest likes to spread peanut butter on top of his and then just a little bit of syrup. YUMMMM!

I have used this recipe for years, I do add bananas. As soon as I pour the batter to the griddle I add thin banana slices to the pancake. Just be careful when you flip it and the fried bananas add a very delicious taste to already delicious pancake.

I made the recipe exactly as shown and they were "totally awesome". I am not a good cook and everyone loved my pancakes! I saw a throw-down with Bobby Flay and I tried using butter on the griddle rather than oil. They browned very nicely!

To make this recipe even more gooey and delicious, make it like this: 2 cups Bisquick 2 cups sour milk (add a teaspoon of vinegar to regular milk if you don't have sour milk) 2 eggs (Lose the vanilla and the sugar -- otherwise, when you add maple syrup the pancakes will be too sweet!) Cook the pancakes on a griddle set to 375. Make sure to start with small flapjacks -- because these are so thin, they are hard to turn until you get the hang of it. Enjoy!
