My family enjoyed this soup! I didn't have any carrots on hand, so I substituted asparagus. In addition, I found it a little bland, so I added some herbs and spices. I'll keep this recipe handy for a tasty, meatless dinner!

I used beef instead of vegetable stock, and the flavor was amazing. I followed the recipe pretty closely, and the lentils took quite a bit longer than stated to cook through. Otherwise great!!

I am new to lentils and this is now my favorite soup! I used 2 stalks of celery instead of just one, but everything else I followed as written. I highly recommend this soup. I eat mine with Arnold sandwich thins since I count WW POINTS, and it's a great satisfying meal that's low in POINTS.

Very easy, delicious and healthy! I only had beef bullion so I used that with wonderful results. I didn't change anything else. It's a soup that eats like a meal.

I just finished making and eating this soup. It was excellent. I halved the recipe, since I was cooking for myself, but put in the full amount of seasonings, since every recipe I've tried from this site is bland(except the desserts, they're just fine). I also used a cup of chicken stock instead of some of the water, and left out the boullion. It'll be a while before I make it again, since the leftovers are enough for two more meals, and a big bowl of this is a complete meal.
