These were pretty good but the recipe needs some altering. If you cook the cookie crust according to the recipe you will over cook it and it will be rock solid. I would say put it in for maybe ten minutes and then allow it to cool and firm up in the pan. Secondly, the topping, as it's written, is terrible. It needs powdered sugar and vanilla. Otherwise it's almost savory.

DELICOUS! My two favorite things, tiramisu and cheesecake. Making this wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Pretty simple and very yummy! The coffee flavor was not too strong or too mild. Next time, might use less chocolate chips and a thinner crust. :)

I made these as the recipe calls for and everyone loved them..but I did not like the chips. I thought the crust was too think. I made a few changes. I made it again and kept the chocolate chips out, I used a bought pre-made Graham Craker crust, I used some sugar in the topping...and it was fantastic. I call it Tirmisu Pie. I added a little bit more coffee to it. For those complaining it tastes like coffee? It is supposed to taste like coffee..and there is no Rum in Tiramisu. I like the changes I made..it was smooth and creamy, sweet and satisfying...I got raves.

I wonder why somebody thinks there is rum in tiramisu. The alcohol in tiramisu is Marsala wine. Imagine that, using something indigenous to Italy. Anyhoo, this recipe is really great. Next time I make it I will use mascarpone cheese for the topping to lighten it. I will add Marsala and probably more chocolate somewhere. This is a recipe to make your own.

it looks better than it tastes. the crust was very hard and the cheesecake just tasted like coffee cheesecake. I might attempt to make this again adding more flavorful ingredients and trying something different for crust

These bars tasted alright. The most negative comment I have is their hardness. After chilling for 2 hours they were rock-solid; I could barely cut through them. I would recommend taking them out of the fridge about 20 minutes before you intend to cut/serve.

Fabulous recipe, taste-wise. There are a few changes I made to the recipe for a few reasons: One of tiramisu's main ingredient is rum...and without rum, I'm sorry, one cannot consider itself Tiramisu related and it would just be coffee cheesecake with chocolate chips. So, I added one and a half teaspoons of rum flavouring b/c I didn't have rum on hand. Definitely tasted more like tiramisu then. Excellent, in fact The frosting is awful... it needs a handful or so of sugar in it and a dash of vanilla. Otherwise it just tastes like cream cheese and whipped cream, which just isn't a great flavour . So I did add the above, and it was better. Also, the aluminum foil suggestion is great but it is a pain to cut with that foil. My suggestion would to be just do "cup-cake" versions of this recipe, and that would be best. So that way you don't have to worry about the aluminum foil on the bottom or anything.
