This was so moist and delicious. I put butter and fresh thyme under the skin of the chicken before cooking it. My family loved it, definitely making it again.

I made this for dinner last night, and both my sons loved it!! One of them is a picky eater when it comes to baked or rotissary type chicken, I got plenty of compliments from both. I thought it did need salt so I added a bit and also cracked pepper, then I made the drippings into gravy. It was very moist and tender, I will be making it again.

I don't cook chicken normally but it was on sale. This was an easy recipe. I didn't have potatoes on hand so I used a Steamers pack with potatoes and green beans. (Didn't add to pan, cooked following package directions.) I cooked only the chicken in a stoneware pan and it was so juicy and flavorful. We will use it again if the opportunity arises. I also used basil since that is what I had on hand. Great choice! Fantastic leftovers also.

What you see is what you get and it is awesome. I am not a gravy person and the drippings from this combination makes the best tasting gravy. When my family knows we are having this for dinner, they are standing in line to eat. If you haven't tried this, do. You will be pleasantly surprised. For those of you who are on a salt restricted diet, like me, salt is not necessary. Even the hubby will love it.

A big hit in my family, including grandchildren. What a wonderful flavor. I doubled the recipe so that afterwards I could remove the remaining chicken from the bone and store it in freezer with the remaining veggies and broth to later make a soup!

I made this recipe and it turned out juicy. I always make the chicken in a set it and forget it. It always turns out juicy. I made when someone left for out of town. He thought it was unfair for me to make it. When he gets back, I will make it for him and he will like it. Because he doesn't really like chicken that much.
