This recipe was to die for!! Ive incorporates dark chocolate chips instead of the chunks and used marschino cherries (drained, rinsed, chopped, and blotted dry with paper towels) in the dough. These came out wonderful and were still moist and delicious the next day!! This will definitely become a regular in my home especially around the holidays!! Yum!!!!!!

I just had some good spumoni icecream for dessert at a popular Italian place. So when I saw this I had to try it. I added chopped maraschino cherries, because thats what was in the icecream. I added a little flour because the cherries added moisture and made the dough sticky (and kind of pink.) They turned out great! Next time I will keep the pistachios whole and only cut the cherries in half to keep it chunky like the icecream! Most original cookie ever!

I made these cookies using pecans in place of pistachios. They were delicious. I also used chocolate chips in place of the chunks and think the chocolate was still a little overpowering. All in all, they were delicious! Very easy to make.

I've made these twice. Love them! Had a man that use to own a bakery tell me they were the best cookies he ever had. Next time I make them I'm going to use more cherries and nuts and less chocolate, maybe chocolate chips. The chocolate can over power the taste of the cherries and nuts. You want to be able to taste the cherries and nuts or all you'll have is a chocolate chip cookie.I found the shelled pistachios at KROGER and COSTCO.

I used pecans, chocolate chips and heath toffee pieces instead in this recipe and they came out great!!! The sugar cookie mix makes life so much easier!

These were super easy to make and the mix of ingredients tastes incredible. Definitely worth a try...they come together in 5 minutes and are out of the oven and all baked in well under an hour. I personally melted the margarine, then chilled the dough before rolling it into walnut sized balls, then rolled those in sugar before baking for a fancier look.

I have used this recipe many many times and have gotten many requests for it. Very easy and they also ship well. I use green and red candied cherries not dried cherries. Enjoy!!!

great cookie, I used chopped dried apricot in place of cherries as we cannot eat cranberries, I added 1/2 c heath bar crunch and only used 1/2 c chocolate chunk. they were great-

These cookies did have a long life spam after I made them and brought them into work. Everyone loved them. They were fantastic and I even used only half a stick of butter instead of two sticks and they still came out wonderful!
