The bacon flavored vodka is really good. Unfortunately, it is also quite pricey for a one-cocktail. To make it worthwhile to purchase, we need some additional recipes to mix it with besides tomato juice. Tough to come up with one off-hand, but it's certainly worth experimenting a little. Let's see... a little beef broth, maybe some Moxie? Open for suggestions.

I don't like Bloody Marys. With that being said...I have to say that this recipe was wonderful! I have made this a couple times now for family and friends and they have loved it and asked for more! I even made it almost as pretty as the one in the picture (minus the bacon strip). I did not have bacon vodka so I opted to infuse the vodka instead of paying $30 for a bottle for an experimental drink. Now that I know it is a hit...I just might "invest" in that bottle after all!

My alternate, a BLT MARY: Cut bamboo skewers in half. S-weave thick bacon onto the center of the skewers, microwave until very crisp. When cool, add a grape or cherry tomato to each side of the bacon. Place a leaf of Romaine or other decorative lettuce in a large glass. Add ice and a shot of Guinness. Add vodka and Bloody Mary mix. Lay skewer across the top of the glass.
