Slow-cooking dried beans with flavorful canned broth is the great start for this garlicky turkey stew, with bright green frozen beans added at the end.

I have made this twice now and found it very easy to prepare. Definitely a hit with my family. I have made it exactly as written, but I think next time I might add some shredded carrots for extra veggies and take the advise of another reviewer and add some sauted onion.

Delicious, even hubby loved it and hates poultry. Cooked exactly like the recipe except I used turkey tenderloins and added some canned tomatoes and jalapeños toward the end instead of green beans.

This is a fabulous dish! I was somewhat skeptical that 2 turkey thighs would result in 6 servings, but it did and then some. I added sauteed celery and onion to the crockpot with the beans and used fresh green beans vs. frozen at the end. This recipe is definately a keeper.

I think this sounds delish and I love turkey, so I plan to try it soon. I appreciate the folks that prepared it; rating it honestly. I am also one to find the boring "complaints" (as opposed to reviews), lamenting fat and sodium contents of recipes. Common sense would indicate that one would either adapt the recipe, or move on to something that suits your diet? Let's please stick to reviews instead of the Nutrition Police!?

We love this recipe. We usually make it with chicken thighs instead just cause that is what we usually have on hand. It is a great, great dish!!

A neighbor brought us this treat about 30 minutes ago. Our only experience with with navy beans has been in soup, which we don't like. Being good neighbors we gave it a sniff and a taste and were pleasantly surprised! As to my individual taste, I added a bit of extra salt and pepper. YUMMY!

Any chance you folks could just make the recipe and then let us know how you like it instead of just complaining about the sodium content. You tend to just bash and dash and seldom prepare as far as I can tell! Please just cook and then rate!! I prepared this and my family loved it.
