This soup is terrible! The flavors do not work well together, it is very salty even with low sodium broth. Do not make this soup, you will not enjoy it.

The soup turned out great! Just learn from my mistake and watch the time with baking the chips. The 6 min left my kitchen filled with smoke and charcoal on the cookie sheet.

You could also add 1/3 cup lime juice to the broth to play-up the southwestern flavor!

Great soup! The smells while cooking were amazing! I got my boyfriend who hates potatoes to eat the soup. I froze the leftovers and we unfroze them a while later and still was very tasty.

Very good, but a little spicy for little ones, my 4 yr old wouldnt eat it. Also, we added some shredded cheese to top it off.

I just made this soup today and just the smells coming from my kitchen when I opened the door made my mouth water! I altered this recipe a bit but it is a great base for whatever you want to put in it, I put Yukon gold potatoes instead of the sweet potatoes, white sweet corn instead of yellow, and red and yellow peppers instead of green. This soup is so flavorful, the sweetness of the corn and peppers play perfectly with the earthy cumin and oregano, I crunched white corn taco shells on top with a shredded white cheddar cheese, then fresh cilantro. Delicious and hearty!
