I was going to make a different version that used more ingredients but I didn't have tomato paste and didn't feel like going to the store. I found this recipe and I liked it so much more! Less ingredients and the taste is fabulous! We ate it on buns and topped with cheddar slices. I used the long cook method, followed another users advice and used onion powder instead of onions and there were no green peppers which pleased me. There were no left overs and I'll definintely make it again! So easy and so very yummy!

This turned out great! My husband does not eat left overs very often, but he ate this! I also used onion powder instead of chopped onions because we do not like them. It still had great flavor. It did start to burn a little around the edges in my slow cooker in under 4 hrs., so this isn't a meal I can put together before going to work.

I made this for dinner last night and it was a hit!! Way too easy AND delicious! The only thing The only thing I had to change was substituting the onions for onion powder. MY step-son and I are not fans of onion pieces. I used 2 teaspoons of the onion powder and it still had a nice flavor. Definitely recommend.

I think adding a chopped green pepper really helps the flavor. Either slow-cooked or on the stove, its an easy meal that the kids love. Who doesn't like finger food? A little cole slaw on the side doesn't hurt either.

Still love this dish, I use tortilla bowls (scoops) instead of chips or buns and I put a little meat and cheddar cheese on top and they make little meat tortilla bowls.

This was a very yummy dish. The onion and chili sauce in the mix made it taste sweet. I did not want to use my slow cooker, so I used my large pot and let it simmer for an hour on low to medium heat and it turned out great. 1 thing make sure you get thick tortilla chips, because the meat is heavy and the chips do break. Great dish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried this recipe and found it very delicious. It is easy to make, and satisfies one in the "comfort food" category. It takes no time to prepare or serve. Great eating!!!
