Home-cooked lasagna on a weeknight? Yes! Thanks to the slow cooker and no precooking of the noodles!

I love Lasagna and the idea of cooking it in a slow cooker sounds really simple. I'm going to attempt this. Of course, I bought the small crockpot slow cooker that is only 1-2 serving capacity so I'm going to have to do some calculations and divide the recipe by about 1/4. My question is, does that mean the time that it has to be cooked should be cooked down or does it really have to be cooked in 6 hours in mentioned setting? I'm a bachelor so I'd like to get some input from the mothers and chefs in here so I won't come out ruining my dish.

Might Have Been Really good but you have to watch it i cooked it for the amount of time suggested and the bottom burned a litle and it dried out other then that it would have been good

Would have been much better cooked on low 8-10 hrs. The edges turned black before the middle was cooked through. Also saw another recipe that called for adding an extra cup of water. This would have also helped prevent the burning. Made with ground turkey...WAY too bland. Do turkey sausage at the very least. Will try again but with some changes. My boys still devoured it.

This lasagna was excellent. Highly reccommend. Supurb taste, so easy, the noodles come out just right, not mushy or hard. It holds it shape when served, yet is tender and moist through. I serve with extra sauce on the side. The flavor is as delicious as what you put into it. The only difference in time between slow cooker and regular oven I think is that you don't have to boil the noodles. I have served this to family and company. All have loved the dish. Slow cookers vary so you do have to check it. Mine is usually done in 3.5 - 4 hrs on low. I have kept it on "warm" for 2 hrs with no adverse effects.

This was awful. Too dry, too much pasta, I can't see how anything would have made this edible. I keep pulling bad recipes from this site. Think I'll stick to Allrecipes.

First, this was done cooking on low after less than 3 hours. I thought I could smell something burning at 3 hours and sure enough the noodles were burnt to the pot at the edges. It turned out too dry, also. I thought it tasted a lot like noodles with sausage...not enough depth of flavors. Nothing like my real lasagna. It was edible but not delicious. I will not make it again.

I'm sure this receipe had good intentions but my slow cooker didn't agree. I followed the guidelines for only cooking 4.5 hours but this was even too long. I have a newer slow cooker... maybe a year old. I basically stopped it at after 3 hours. I went to take a look at how the lasagna was looking and by then the sides were already burnt. I cooked it on low but I'm thinking warm may be what I need to use next time along with doubling the amount of sauce because it tasted so dry.

This is delicious! By far my favorite lasagna recipe and I have tried alot! It is super easy to make I don't change anything except I add a little more mozerella cheese just because we love it so much. I cook for about 4 1/2 hours and its perfect!

Easy recipe my whole family enjoys! The only thing I changed was instead of the tomatoes, I used 2 cans of spaghetti sauce. The sausage makes this excellent, but it is good with ground beef as well (or a mixture of the two). We also pair it with salad and bread, and it makes enough for my husband and I to have lunch for at least a couple of days.
