I made this for my lunches for the week. I added garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano and some carrots, and used extra tortellini. Fabulous recipe. It smells great, tastes great, and makes for some good-sized portions. The best part is that it reheats well. With the changes I made, next time, I'll probably either add a little more broth or a small can of tomato sauce, but it was still great. A definite keeper.

I have it cooking as I type this. Since I love garlic and oregano and basil, I am using all 3. There is no way I could make this without garlic, and added it at the start. But the basil is from my herb garden, not dried, and I'm adding it in when there is about 1 hour to go, not 20 min. The same with the oregano. I want a lot of that flavor in it. I added our home-grown green pepper, as well, with a bit less zucchini (also from our garden). Smells wonderful! Can't wait to eat it! Having it with ciabatta bread I got on sale.

This tastes much better the second/third day. I cut down on the dried basil by about half, also added some kidney beans a few days later - too much pasta for me. All in all a very good and tasty low fat dish.

I needed a slow cooker supper idea and this was the winner. I have to say it was Awesome coming home to a lovely meal after work. My boyfriend and I got home around the same time. So there was no room to make anything before we all ate. So this was a life saver! I had a friend over too so I had to make something worth wild. This Slow Cooker Italian Tortellini Stew was.. Yum-O! I will be making this more. Perfect with some garlic bread on the side. :)

This recipe is great! The basil and onions gave it a great flavor and best of all, it's made in the Slow Cooker! I also love that it's low in calories and still has a ton of flavor. I will definitely make this again.

I just made this for the first time ever. It was very good. I added 2 cloves of garlic, and next time I think I'll also add some oregano. Yum!

This was awesome! I'm not a big fan of basil so I used 1/2 tablespoon of oregano. I also used frozen cheese filled tortellini.

This was a good basic recipe. I can't wait to make it again and play around with it. I followed the recipe completely except I knew that I wanted to make one addition right away; one 8oz. can of tomato sauce. My husband really likes things with a lot of broth or sauce. It was very easy to throw together and great during the busy week. I got home and the house smelled wonderful. Threw in the tortellini and took a quick shower and dinner was ready.

I enjoyed this meal, but did a couple of things differently. I doubled the tortellini and added carrots. Next time I would skip the diced tomatoes (not a fan) and add tomato sauce instead. While I like beans, I didn't think the beans fit this recipe very well so I would probably leave them out next time also.
