Not Bad. I used lemon peel which was a huge mistake, the strong taste went through the whole dish. I wish I should have listened to the other reviews and used lemon pepper. Also make sure you get plain yogurt for the dipping sauce.

This was very good. Served over brown rice. I did use lemon pepper. Next time will use even more oregano,

I have made this for years and love it as is! However, i put it in pita bread for gyros and everyone thinks I am brilliant. People have stopped me and literally said "i heard you have a gyro recipe you can make at home." Well, this is it. Very good when craving a gyro and can't get near a fair or Greek restaurant.

This was a success at my mother-in-law's superbowl party! I did reduce the recipe since I have a smaller crockpot than was called for. I went light on the oregano since that sounded like it would be too strong. And I substituted lemon pepper for the lemon peel and course ground pepper with the beef and used a few drops of lemon juice in the yogurt sauce.
