One of my family favorites. Even my young kids ask me to make this recipe. I usually add a little Tabasco to my portion because I'm cooking for a young audience. Over some brown rice it's great!

I have made this recipe probably 5 times. I have made it for different groups of friends and it always a crowd-pleaser. I give it five spoons if you add in slices of Hillshire smoked sausage!

I have prepared this for well over 30 yrs & it never fails to get great raves! I have given it out so many times. It is foolproof & can be adjusted for more servings, hotness, etc., quite easily. If possible use butter instead of margarine. It freezes well too, if you have any left. If you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for? It will become a favorite, I promise!

I'm a little confused, in the tips for a lighter shrimp creole decrease the butter by one tablespoon and use a nonstick spray. My question is one table spoon of butter makes that much of a difference by 3 grams of fat, when you count the grams of fat using the amount of butter in the formula to begin with I do not understand
