I followed the recipe, but my husband said this was the second worst dinner I ever made (and I agreed). The worst dinner I ever made was 45 years ago. So that gives you some idea of how bad he thought it was. I threw out the remainder of the casserole after I couldn't finish what was on my plate. I shredded the recipe.

I made these in a muffin pan since it is just me in the house. These were so good that I will be making these again. The muffins also freeze well.

Honestly, it takes less than 45 minutes if you do this recipe right. I ususally have the chicken cooked before hand and ready to go. I love this recipe and most importantly, my kids love it and ask for it on a weekly basis.

I have a question: The recipe calls for an 8 or 9 inch square pan. My family is quite large and would need at least a 9x13 pan. Can I double the recipe and would the cooking time be the same? Thanks.

I love this recipe, I keep it as a go to dinner after a long work week. I add corn and black beans to mine to make it a one dish meal. Sometimes I substitue the bisquick mix for a corn bread mix. I just use the same measurements for the bisquick but use corn bread mix instead.

Very tasty, and quite easy...Definitely needs the sour cream added at the very least. I'll definitely be making this one again :)
