Salisbury-Style Meatballs with Caramelized Onions

tablespoons butter

large sweet onions (such as Walla Walla), halved, thinly sliced (6 cups)

tablespoon brown sugar

(16 to 18-oz.) pkg. frozen cooked meatballs, thawed

(12-oz.) jar mushroom beef gravy

• 1 Melt butter in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions and brown sugar; cook 15 to 20 minutes or until onions are golden brown and caramelized, stirring occasionally.
• 2 Add meatballs and gravy; stir gently to mix. Cover; cook 5 to 8 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
