Wasn't sure about these at first, but really wanted to try this unique dessert. It was really quite good. The batter is stiff like cookie dough. And it does make for difficult spreading on the pumpkin layer, so use your fingers. ALso, it won't look as pretty as the picture. It's definitely memorable though cause I think about it sometimes and wish there were some sitting in the fridge.

These are a big hit! You could even add more pumpkin to counter the sweetness of the fudge. Only downfall…they are super addictive!

I made these for a church social and they were a hit. We like them as well and I am planning to make them again for us and to give away as gifts.

These brownies turned out great! My husband took some to share w/ co-workers & they were a hit! Moist & the pumpkin swirl kept them from being overly rich. (If in fact a fudgy brownie can be too rich)Will be making these again.

These brownies were so moist and yummy,. Love the pumpkin on top. I think next time I might add pumpkin pie spice to the pumpkin and omit the cinnamon.

Made a gluten free version of these by using the gluten free betty crocker brownie mix. They came out great, though next time I will remember to reserve more batter for the top.

Very good! I didn't have nutmeg so i used pumpkin pie spice, and after reading the other reviews I used brown sugar instead of white, and I used fat free cream cheese and the fat free brownie mix. As a twist, I added some toffee chips to the brownie mix, and after putting on the rest of the brownie mix and marbling it I added some to the top. Has became a first year tradition, and will continue from here on out!

Not really thrilled with how this recipe turned out. It's good, just not as good as a lot of the other desserts on this site. With the brownie being very thick and the filling being very runny, it made it really hard to spread the brownie on top. Was kind of scared how it would turn out, but it was good, just won't try it again.
