This was sooo good! My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed it! Did it practically as the recipe said. Instead of sprinkling the basil on top, I cooked it it with the egg, sausage & green onion. I spread a mixture of marinara & ragu for the sauce and added fresh spinach leaves as well. Instead of diced pepperoni, I used sliced pepperoni on the sauce & layered egg mix on top. Backed and enjoyed!

Years ago, Bisquick offered a recipe for pizza crust and it called for adding Italian seasoning. I'm thinking that would make a nice touch for this recipe as well. Excellent idea for a different breakfast!

I have been making this for a couple of years for our church family for breakfast(500 people) but I put ground sausage on it instead of pepperoni. It has gone over very well!!

I've been making breakfast pizza's for years, using pre-baked shells, and am so happy to see that i can make a crust from my Heart Smart Bisquick. I use it exclusively for all my Bisquick recipes, and have never had a problem using it. As for the breakfast pizza's, I have always made country gravy, either from a mix or from scratch. Such a versatile recipe! If you want you can use your fave egg sub, and low fat cheese. Sometimes I sprinkle the top with chives, olives, and/or green onions. You can also make them with fruit, using sweetened lowfat cream cheese, thinly sliced peaches, plums, pineapple. When it's done, brush the top with melted apple jelly or apricot jam...YUMMM....healthy too!

My family loved this. I wanted to try something different so instead of the pizza sauce I used white gravy. I would use bacon, sausage, tomtoes, or anything we would us for breakfast.

What would the calorie count and fat be without the pepperoni? Sounds like something I will try with whole wheat Bisquik...if the numbers work.

I really wish they would provide the recipes with the HEART SMART version--those recipes are impossible to find. I might try this recipe with it with turkey sausage. :0(

I made this with a white gravy made from a powdered mix and ground breakfast sausage instead of pizza sauce and pepperoni. It was a huge hit with my family!

Can't wait to try this this weekend! I think I will substitute sausage gravy for the pizza sauce though. Will update after I have it - thanks!
