The same great flavors from that favorite pie are easily transformed into bars made to be picked up and enjoyed!

My Mom passed away 3 years ago. At the last Thanksgiving dinner she was able to prepare, she made these pecan bars and everyone just raved over them. Mom was so proud of herself, and so was I. I've decided that this year I would try my hand at them and surprise my brothers. I'm giving this recipe 5 spoons before I ever even make them because they were so yummy when my Momma made them :)

This recipe is delicious and easy to make. The best part is that it tastes better on the second day than when it is fresh from the oven!

Very good. I would make them again, but I thought there was too much cookie and too little filling. I wouldn't hesitate to use half again the filling recipe.

If you love pecan pie you'll love these bars, they are very rich so I would cut them in smaller pieces. Will make again.

Very good, tastes like pecan pie but with cookie bar convenience! I removed them at minimum baking time and the middle was perfect...like the pie. I didn't dip them in chocolate, but they were still gone in a hurry and with great reviews and recipe requests from the appreciative folks at my husband's work. Of course our family gobbled them up with requests for more too! Thank you for another yummy recipe!

I just made this dessert for my Dad for his birthday because he loves pecan pie. Everyone at the party loved it and several asked for the recipe. It really is fabulous and easy to make.

Yummy! I made these the other day to see if they would be good enough to take to our church function. They absolutely are! I added slightly more butter than called for and I had to use my hands to form the crust into the pan. I baked them less than what the recipe suggested because I only made a half batch. I think I ended up undercooking them but it made them really gooey which was really yummy. I would suggest just drizzling the chocolate also! Much prettier I think!

I made these again and I just wanted to let people know that I think that the baking time is set for too long. I baked these for about 3/4 of the time for both times they go in the oven and they turned out perfect. I''ve tried baking them as long as the recipe suggests but they turn out way too brown and crunchy.
