This is a good base recipe. I double the whole recipe, then use 1/2 cup of Crisco, and 1/2 cup of real butter. This works out much better.

EXCELLENT! I changed nothing...made them exactly as the recipe stated. Deeeeeeeeeeeelish! I'm not sure what brought about the negative comments about a Crisco taste. I used butter flavored Crisco, and these cookies are divine! My hub said these are his NEW BFF...lol Double the batch... the recipe does not make enough.

Forget the Crisco. It's just there brand and they want you to buy it. I used margarine. They were just fine. Went with 1 1/2 C of flour tho as the peanut butter I have is oily..;).You could add a smidgen of cinnamon to them for a real treat. Or try Almond or Sesame or Nutello cookies!

I'm not normally a fan of peanut butter cookies, but these cookies converted me! My husband said they're the best he's ever tasted! The entire batch was gone in 2 days, so next time I'll be making a double batch. I love them!!

Best PB cookie recipe ever! I'm too lazy to chill the dough and roll out into little balls, so I just make up the dough, skip chilling it, and immediately use a cookie scoop to make it into rounded teaspoons on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Don't bother to flatten--I just let 'em cook and they come out perfect.

These are delicious! I used 1/2 butter(no margarine or shortening) and 1.5c peanut butter because we love the peanut flavor to really come out. I added about a cup of chocolate chips. No need to refrigerate dough, they rolled into balls fine after mixing in the flour then chips Hubby said they were the best he's ever eaten and I agree. yummy. very moist inside and lightly crusted outside

Like most who doesn't love a great cookie. I love chocolate as well. I adjust mine with 1 tsp. Molasses, 2 TBLS powdered cocoa. 2 eggs, + extra 1/2 cup flour. I also use all Brown Sugar. I'm chilling my cookie batter right now. ummm, um, um.
