Very good. Some suggestions: I only had an 11oz bag of carmels so I used about 3 tablespoons of carmel ice cream topping. This worked very well and made the carmel easy to spread. After making the peanut butter filling it sat for a while and looked dry I buttered my hands when I spread it on the cookie bar and it worked great. I used dark chocolate chips and this cut down the sweetness of the bars. They were a big hit. Will make again for sure.

I made these for a friend before I have tried them myself. After they refrigerated, I cut them into small squares and tasted one. I was not that impressed. I might have cooked the dough (crust or base) too long, but I followed the directions exactly. The chocolate was a bit too much as well. Definitely not one of my favorites. My kids did not like them at all. I won't make them again.

I read the post before, I think it is good on time. I made these just before I went and got kids from school. Timing then was almost perfect. I used a Gluten free Peanut butter cookie recipe that I have, and no one could tell the difference. Will make again. Though one thing I will do the next time is melt the caramel and pour that over the filling and sprinkle peanuts over that. Seems to make more sense to me. Otherwise good.

I love these bars, but making them is a bit time consuming so I have come up with some short cuts that speed things up when I'm in a hurry. Instead of unwrapping dozens of caramels, I buy a tub of Marzetti caramel dip and a tub of Marzetti Chocolate fruit dip. I pop both in the microwave and I'm done! Also, I add a dash of hazelnut coffee creamer to the melted chocolate (and some extra chocolate chips)! Yum!

Wow.....seriously super sweet. Quite easy to make, but terribly time consuming. Took another reviewers suggestion and after 30 minutes in frig., cut into squares.

I made these for my coworkers during the holidays, they loved them! I ended up sharing the recipe with a few of them and I had to make more. Worth the time if you like something sweet and yummy!

To keep this from being a peanut overload (since its such a strong flavor), I used the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix instead and switched the peanuts with toffee bits. The peanut butter stayed and worked terrific with the other flavors. Cut these in small squares and it's a little bit of dessert heaven!

I made these bars over the holiday, and they are very time consuming, but the end result is so yummy. Everyone loves these bars and you really need to like sweets to like these bars.

Really too much time, effort and money for something that was too rich and sweet.
