I love the combination of blueberry and orange. I made this exactly as written, however I used bottled orange peel instead of fresh grated orange peel. It tasted very good but it was dry. The second time I made it, I added some additional milk. The batter was much easier to stir and the baked bread was moist.

This bread has a great mixture of flavors...you can really taste the orange, in spite of the small amount used, relative to the amount of blueberries. When I first made this, though, I was concerned that maybe I had done something wrong: The batter didn't really "pour" into the pan, as much as I had to "spoon" it in. I also worried: was it going to be too dry?? However, my fears were unfounded. This is one of the best breakfast breads I have ever made, and I am looking forward to giving some away as gifts.

I tried this recipe today with my 6 year old daughter and we loved it. Next i will use muffin pans instead but I will keep this recipe. I wish i waited for the bread to cool completely before cutting it was crumbling but i loved this recipe thanks Betty Crocker.
