I was looking for some fast & easy cookies to bake with the few ingredients I had on hand and these fit to a tee though I used it more as a base recipe. I used a Splenda & Brown Sugar mix and used slightly less than called for to lower the calories and make them less sweet. I didn't use any chocolate candies or chips and substituted dried cranberries for the raisins. Finally, I substituted olive oil & applesauce for the shortening and added 1 tsp of Penzey's Cake Spice.

5/5 from everyone here! I subbed margerine for shortening and did not use nuts. Because the bisquick mix tends to clump i used the mixer to blend that in as well, then added choc chips and raisins. 12 minutes in oven was perfect. Crunchy yet soft on inside. These will not last!

I made these for a party and everyone really liked them. The one critique was that with the chocolate chip cookie mix, there wasn't a need for the M&Ms. I have to agree with them. Without the M&Ms, you get a nice mix of peanut butter, chocolate, and oatmeal. With them, the chocolate overwhelms.

These were an instant hit as I figured they would be. The dough was very stiff and dry and at first I thought I had done something wrong. By the time I added the oats and nuts I thought I was going to have to add a drop or two of milk but I just kept mixing (with a spoon) and eventually everything was well coated. They came out very well. I will make these again and often.

These are a must-have in our family. I use chocolate chips instead of candy chips and add 1/2 to 1 tsp butter flavoring. These freeze very well if you can get them to last that long.

These cookies are delicious ad so easy to make!!! I leave out the raisins and use chocolate chunks instead of M&M's. My frnds and kids all rave about these cookies!

This was my first attempt at Bisquick cookies and they turned out fantastic! No more melted flat cookies, these stayed thick and flaky. Great recipe to try for the kids and adults alike!
