What's the secret for the smooth frosting? Indulgent chocolate cupcakes are filled, then dipped into warm frosting.

My family loves these. I have made them several times. I have made them exactly as the recipe says and then I have tried different flavors. Today I tried orange cake and added a half teaspoon of orange extract to the filling and used white chocolate chips and vanilla icing on top. Really good! I have also used white cake. I let them cool and then put the filling in a cake decorators bag with a large tip and stick it in the top of the cake and squeeze. works great and no mess. Thanks BC for the recipe we love it.

These are great cupcakes. They taste even better than the "hostess" brand I grew up on. The cake is so moist and the filling tastes perfectly,,not too sweet. I agree with the advice of another person as to not overfill the cakes with the frosting. I also did refridgerate the cupcakes after they were filled and trimmed away some of the excess frosting so they would be flat when I added the glaze on top. YUMMO

These cupcakes are amazing and can easily be confused for hostess cupcakes! My family loves them and I already have requests for more.

This recipe works great Betty Crocker's Party Rainbow Chip cake mix. I was limited with the ingredients so I made my own. I followed the directions but just used Party rainbow chip cake mix instead. Also I used valentine frosting instead. I was doing it for valentines day. Everyone who had said how yummy it was it so good! Not 1 person didn't like it. I love it! peace out peps!

My family absolutely loves these cupcakes, and they are very hard to please! Extremely moist and easy to make. Make sure you don't go overboard on the creme filling. I made this mistake on my second batch thinking they would be even better with the extra filling. Turned out to be too sweet.

This recipe was INCREDIBLE! My family and friends loved these. I was a little scared when it came to the dipping. I wanted to keep the chocolate from burning and hardening. But the cook time was perfect. I made exactly 24 cupcakes and had extra vanilla icing at the end. The only problem that I had with this recipe was that filling was a little runny. But then again the cupcakes were a bit warm when we ate them. Other than that I give this one an A+!!!

I loved this recipe. Not only was it easy but, tasted delicious. The first time I made it, I did exactly as the recipe card calls. But, I'm adventurous in the kitchen so I decided to give it another try. The second time around I dipped the cupcakes just as is. Refrigerated them for about 10 mins. just to harden the icing. Then I pealed off the paper, & used a pastry bag with large tip to insert Dove chocolate Discoveries White Chocolate Mousse. After I placed the cupcake onto a dessert plate and added dabs on Dove chocolate Discoveries Mango Sauce around the edge of plate. This turned simple cupcakes into elegant desserts. My whole family enjoyed eating them as well as the children. (The children felt special to enjoy a dessert that was just as the adults!)

This was a great recipe. Delicious. I did however run out of the filling mixture and kept having to make more. I ended up using almost the entire vanilla frosting container. I just kept the ratio for frosting/fluff at 2:1. I also tried to fill it using a baggie and it just didn't work. Since I didn't have anything bigger than a sandwich bag I would have had to keep filling it and filling it. Instead I just spooned it in with a small spatula, but a baby spoon would work too. I also put them in the freezer after filling, for about 45 minutes. I made them for a cake walk at my daughter's school event and they went fast.
