I've been cooking for over 50 years and followed this recipe exactly. The cake part was dry. The marshmallow part after being in the frig was hard and the frosting would never set up. Ended up throwing them out. I wondered about the frosting but trusted Betty Crocker.

I made these this morning and after all the work and required cooling and refrigeration times.....totally disappointed. To me, unetible. My step son could eat them but no one else. Icing tasted like sour cream, yuk. Marshmallow layer stuck together when cutting. Followed recipe as written. Would NOT recommend.

Made these last week and followed the recipe to the letter. The brownie part with the marshmallow is good but I could not get the frosting/topping to firm up even after 8 hours in the fridge ( very runny). Not sure what I did wrong but will give it one more try.

I made these last night for my hubby and my 2 year old son who both have huge sweet tooths (teeth)! They were a huge hit and half the pan is already gone. I skipped the chocolate frosting part and instead sprinkled chocolate chips over the marshmallows and stuck it back into the oven for 5 minutes until the marshmallows were slightly toated and brown on top. When it cooled it tasted like a rocky road brownie! SO YUMMY! Highly recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a good brownie recipe!

FYI, this is really a 5 spoon recipe, as those who only gave it 2 to 3 spoons haven't bothered to make the recipe, don't know how to use their computers to find the recipe, or have a problem with desserts being desserts.

Bisquick brownies? I thought they were joking, but tried them anyway. Super rich and yummy. So glad I'd hidden one for me as they were snapped up right off my cake server, didn't even hit the plate. Maybe some mocha?

I got the recipe as soon as I signed up. Wasn't able to view it until then. They look wonderful, but haven't tried them so my rating is in the middle-neutral.

I am glad that I read through the reviews. Based on the ratings I was hesitant to try this recipe. Upon further reading I realized that there were hardly any reviews based on the actual Mud bars. If I see that a recipe is too high in calories and fat, I just don't make it and find another one that will fit with my eating plan. Maybe everyone thinks complaining burns calories!
