I made these with my daughter and I noticed that the recipe is missing one key ingredient 1/3 cup of milk. They were really easy and delicious. The filling is really sweet.

I made these at Christmas time, they turned out great and everyone loved them. But I made them with the Betty Crocker Red Cake cake mix. I used the "cookie scoop" - looks like an ice cream scoop. I am going to try these made with the Bisquick Mix, but also using my scoop. They really are good and with the Bisquick mix, I can make them different colors. Thanks

I wanted to make these for a Superbowl gathering, but after reading the others reviews I'm afraid to try. Too bad...they look so cute!

I tried this recipe last night and have to say I was disappointed. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but the dough was very thick! I made mine purple for a Superbowl party (Go Ravens!) at work. Mixing in the food coloring was very difficult, and I used the mixer even though it said to stir by hand. When I put the dough in the baggie to squeeze out, the bag busted...and any other kitchen gadget I tried didn't work. So I resorted to making small balls by hand, larger than they described. They definitely spread more than I expected, and I only ended up with about two dozen cookies (or 12 pies). The filling was good, and my son enjoyed. But I didn't feel confident sharing with my coworkers. :) Not sure I'll give this another try anytime soon.

The recipe says put those little 1/2 inch circles 1 inch apart. If the cookie spread out much at all the baking sheet would make one big cookie. The cookies will be VERY tiny. Look at the illustration and compare the size of the cookies to the size of that glass of milk. The cookies are about the size of a store bought vanilla wafer.

Step 3 says to squeeze batter out of bag to make 100 1/2 inch circles. Will the dough spread to 2-3 inches or are these going to be tiny cookies? Unclear here. Please clarify. Thanks.

Would the measurements be the same when using the gluten free mix?
