I have to say this is a really good cake(but)the frosting I did'nt care for. It almost seem as if something was missing with the taste, this cake is great served with coffee. I'm so glade I decided to skip frosting the cake since it was made with cream cheese I planned on frosting each slice at a time instead of putting the whole cake in the fridge. All in all i did give five spoons, because of the cake not the frosting!!!! I had no trouble fetting the cake out of the pan, just wait until it completly cooled.I also added extra maple into the cake. I think next time I bake this one I will use butter cream frosting, I will update you with those results.

This cake was delicious! My only problem was it seemed to crumble when cutting into it. Not that we minded a messier cake, because it was still delicious. I used walnuts instead of pecans though. We prefer them. It goes really well with the maple! I only added some maple flavor to the batter and to the icing. It tastes like a giant maple frosted doughnut! Love it. :)

Excellent, one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. Everyone had dessert and wanted more to take home. Wish there were more than 5 spoons!!!

I expected this recipe to have more maple taste than it did. The cake came out very bland and gooey and difficult to serve. Frosting also very bland. Would not recommend.

My first attempt at baking this cake is still cooling on the rack... however, as I had trouble getting it out of the pan in one piece I had the opportunity to taste some of the little chunks that stuck to the pan. (Well, what's a girl to do? If they won't stick back onto the cake, they won't stick... so I ate 'em!). Live and learn - next time (and there WILL be a next time) I'll remember to run a plastic knife along the edge to make sure it's completely un-adhered to the pan. Not only did this cake smell absolutely divine while it was baking, the maple flavour is just right. Not too subtle and not too strong. The only thing I did differently was that I didn't toast the pecans (I'm too lazy), and I didn't have enough for 1/2 cup, but otherwise the rest of it was followed to the letter. I very much look forward to sharing this cake tomorrow with my boyfriend when we have our "Late Thanksgiving" dinner after church. Dear friends and neighbours across the street will also benefit from this baking endeavour!

Very good taste! Smelled divine when baking! Only problem was I couldn't get my bundt cake out. It still tasted great, just didn't look pretty.

I cooked this cake for a country church luncheon. Lots of home cooking, everyone wanted my recipe!! The only change I made was used real Maple Syrup and no frosting. My husband has asked for it twice since then and I was happy to make another. Also, makes great muffins for breakfast.

I had never made a bundt cake before. This one was out of this world!! I made it with the butter-pecan cake mix instead of the yellow cake mix, it tasted so good, I had to make two in one day!!!! I have never done that before!!! The frosting was awesome, but to add some professional looking touch, I sprinkled the top of the frosted cake with finely chopped pecans. It looked like I bought it some where!!!!

I got rave reviews for this cake. made it a couple of times. using butter in frosting turns out much better than margarine.
