Love sweet/salty, so I tried this. It's ok but I prefer my bacon dipped directly into syrup, like a chip into salsa. I definitely appreciate anyone who goes into their kitchen and says, "Hm-m-m, I wonder what this will taste like!". To tinydogpries and mommypie, so sorry y'all were having a bad day. Bless your hearts but y'all really didn't need to waste your time writing up a review of something you didn't bother to try. Take two jalapenos and go put your feet up for awhile; you'll feel better in the morning.

Bacon in ice cream is awesome. If you are "not allowed to eat bacon, never have, and never will" as another reviewer stated then you have no business reviewing this recipe.

I totally agree with tinydogpries. I cannot see having bacon with ice cream. I can't see using bacon at all in so many of the recipes being posted at various sites nor by all of these chefs on tv. Of course, I am not allowed to eat bacon, never have, and never will.

Bacon belongs wherever you want to put it! Having actually tried bacon ice cream (although not this particular recipe...yet)I can say that it is a delightful combination of tastes and textures. Crispy salty smoky bacon in creamy sweet ice cream is absolutely wonderful. Do not judge until you try, and do not post a review of something you have never experienced.
