  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves or 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 2 cups cut-up cooked turkey or chicken

  • 1/4 cup sliced ripe olive
  • 2 cans (15 to 16 ounces each) great northern beans, rinsed and drained

  • 2
Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring frequently, until hot.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
True Italian white beans are cannellini beans; these white beans are a form of kidney beans that originated in South America. Great northern beans, although slightly larger, are a common substitute for cannellini beans.
  • tip 2
Trendy restaurants offer bean dishes, such as this one, served alongside a pasta dish. If you'd like to do the same, choose an interesting pasta shape. Try rice-shaped rosamarina (orzo), spring-shaped fusilli, bow-tie-shaped farfalle or twisted gemelli.
